I was forced to go to this Expensive guys the General Motors 1 because of water pump noise, I traveled about 100Kms at the end my water pump totaly fails. The GM Charged me R1500-00 to strip the 1. Weak battery. The leading cause of clicking noise and no start in Vauxhall Astra is weak battery. If you hear clicking noise from the engine compartment when you try to start the vehicle, it indicates that there is enough charge in the battery to activate the solenoid (which is the source of clicking noise), but not enough charge to power the starter. Perhaps you've got a faulty bulb or connection and so the power hasn't been turned back on yet. It's not impossible but I doubt it's the wiring. Only 3 fuses that could affect it, F2.39 5A, F3.40 5A and F3.35 10A. if these fuses are ok then the power is supplied via the cooling module which is on the passenger side front, there are some checks you can do to see if you have power at the terminal plug if you have a multi meter. 1) Use a 15mm Spanner and relive the tension on the aux belt, with this removed take off the belt. 2) There are 3 male torx bolts holding the compressor to the engine block. Undo these,at this point I was ready to put a strap round to support the compressor but it turned out it sat nicely on the subframe.
